Browsing Hidden Places

Use the Explore page to discover Places and Experiences available through Hidden Places.

Each result gives you an overview of the location, the type of Experience available and the starting price.

Select a result to open the full Place page and review everything before deciding whether it is suitable.

Search by location

Enter a town, county or area to look for Places near the location you want to visit.

Some Places are in rural areas, so the location shown before booking may be approximate rather than the host's exact address.

Use the filters

Filters help narrow the results to the Places and Experiences most relevant to your plans.

Depending on the options available, you may be able to filter by:

• Location.
• Date or availability.
• Experience or activity type.
• Booking duration.
• Price.
• Facilities.
• Suitability for dogs, children or groups.

Clear or adjust the filters if too few results are displayed.

Review the Place

The Place page explains the physical location and should include:

• A short overview and full description.
• Photographs of the land, surroundings and facilities.
• General location information.
• Facilities and amenities.
• Important access or suitability details.
• The Experiences that can be booked there.

Read the full description rather than relying only on the cover photograph or search result.

Choose the right Experience

A Place may offer more than one Experience.

Each Experience can have a different purpose, duration, price, group limit and set of conditions.

Make sure you select the Experience that matches how you intend to use the Place.

Check the photographs carefully

Photographs can help you understand the character, layout and condition of the Place.

Look for images showing:

• The main area you will be using.
• Access routes and entrances.
• Parking areas.
• Paths, slopes and ground conditions.
• Available shelters, toilets or other facilities.
• Boundaries and nearby surroundings.

Contact the host if you need to see or confirm something that is not clear from the gallery.

Check the facilities

Facilities can vary significantly between Places.

Some locations may offer parking, toilets, water, shelter or electricity, while others may provide little more than private use of the land.

Do not assume a facility is available unless it is shown in the listing or confirmed by the host.

Consider access and suitability

Outdoor and rural Places may involve uneven ground, narrow lanes, gates, steps, slopes or limited lighting.

Before booking, consider whether the Place is suitable for:

Review the price shown for the specific Experience you want to book.
