How payments work
Hidden Places uses Stripe to process payments securely between guests and hosts.
Guests pay through Hidden Places rather than paying hosts directly. This helps provide a secure booking experience for everyone.
Your bank details are never stored by Hidden Places. Stripe securely manages payment processing and host payouts.
Why do I need a Stripe account?
Stripe allows Hidden Places to transfer booking income safely to your bank account.
During setup you may be asked to provide identification, business information and your bank account details. This helps Stripe comply with financial regulations and protect against fraud.
Identity verification
Depending on your circumstances, Stripe may ask you to verify your identity before you can receive payouts.
This is a normal part of the onboarding process and helps keep the platform secure for both hosts and guests.
When will I receive my money?
Once a booking has been completed and any applicable holding period has passed, Stripe will transfer your payout to your nominated bank account.
The exact timing may vary depending on your country, your bank and Stripe's payout schedule.
Platform fees
Hidden Places may deduct platform fees before your payout is made. Any applicable fees will be shown clearly as part of the booking process.
Stripe may also apply payment processing charges in accordance with its own pricing.
Keeping your payout information up to date
If your bank account changes, update your Stripe account as soon as possible to avoid delays in receiving future payouts.
